Pengaruh Kebutuhan Informasi Pemustaka Terhadap Pengembangan Koleksi Buku Tercetak Pada Perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya (Studi pada Mahasiswa S1 Jurusan Administrasi Publik Universitas Brawijaya)

Abstract

Abstract: The Impact of Library User’s Need of Information Towards The Development of Printed Books Collection At Brawijaya University Library (A Study on Majoring of Public Administration Student of Brawijaya University). Information needs of library user is one of the important factors in the library to collects printed books library collection both in terms of quality as well as quantity is one important asset library. This research aims is to know and explain the variable of information needs that consists of cognitive needs, affective needs, personal integrative needs, social integrative needs, and recreational needs  on development of collection printed book in the  Brawijaya University Library. The data were obtain from questionnaire from 274 participants who majoring of Public Administration students. In this study the writter found that variable of information needs partially and simultaneously had impact on the development of library collection.

Abstrak: Pengaruh Kebutuhan Informasi Pemustaka Terhadap Pengembangan Koleksi Buku Tercetak Pada Perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya (Studi pada Mahasiswa S1 Jurusan Administrasi Publik Universitas Brawiajaya). Kebutuhan informasi pemustaka merupakan salah satu faktor penting bagi perpustakaan dalam menghimpun koleksi, sehingga koleksi buku tercetak baik dari segi kualitas maupun kuantitas merupakan salah satu aset penting perpustakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan ada tidaknya pengaruh antara kebutuhan informasi yang terdiri dari kognitif, kebutuhan afektif, kebutuhan integrasi personal, kebutuhan integrasi sosial, dan kebutuhan rekreatif terhadap pengembangan koleksi buku tercetak pada Perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data dengan responden pada penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa S1 jurusan administrasi publik yang berjumlah 274 responden. Berdasarkan analisis data mendapatkan kebutuhan informasi secara parsial dan simultan memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengembangan koleksi.
